My family did a day tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum with a fantastic guide. When I asked my family what we should write in the review, my husband said, "He's the best guide," and my kids said, "He knows everything." That's why I wrote the Askos Tours Pompeii reviews and gave this tour five stars.
Our guide was very knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. He organized everything according to the described itinerary. I toured Pompeii and Herculaneum. Both places are a must-see when you are in the area, especially Pompeii, as it is huge. Luckily, there was this tour, so I didn't have to go through the hassle of organizing everything.
We toured Herculaneum with an excellent tour guide. He made the city come alive and provided a lot of historical context, from the buildings to the people and how they lived. Herculaneum differs from Pompeii in several ways, including the presence of original preserved wood and the completeness of some of the frescoes. The tour was very good at dealing with that and very professional.
